Educated at the University of South Florida with a business and liberal studies degree, I was torn between a steady income in business, or career in art. So 20 years later with retirement from IBM, the brief case was traded for a tool belt and began a new life of buying and renovating homes, starting in South Tampa. Creativity was combined with a business background for a successful transition. Spare time between full house projects is spent painting furniture, repurposing chandeliers or other crafty endeavors, i.e. a "perpetual tinkerer".

Nature is the art inspiration with a whimsical spin. Color and texture is key. Gnarley often thrills me. Having this outlet keeps me motivated to get up and find something ugly at the curb or forgotten from a back closet and making it beautiful.
I find the same motivation when I buy a house needing renovating and am thrilled to "turn a sow's ear into a silk purse". I prefer to recycle, repurpose, renew and maximize it's value, whether a dresser or a house.
